A feature film about resilience, family, and a bright little girl finding her way after her mother's death. I was one of the animators who helped bring Clarice's world to life, and it became one of the most formative adventures of my career so far.

Process

Being part of the team of animators on this film was a gift. Working under a director, alongside colleagues I could learn from every day, changed how I think about animation as a collective craft rather than a solo effort.

The characters were built as cut-out puppets and animated in After Effects — rigging the parts, parenting the joints and shaping every move in the graph editor, so the handmade feel of the artwork survived the rig.

My job was to help carry a delicate story: grief seen through the eyes of a creative, stubborn, bright little girl. That meant animating with restraint, letting pauses and small gestures do the emotional work.

The film traveled to 30+ festivals in Brazil and abroad — Niigata (Japan), Tokyo Anime Award Festival, Havana and the International Film Festival of India among them — and is now streaming on YouTube, Apple TV, Google Play and Prime Video.
